In July 2008, Jim and Clarine purchased major interest in Buckeye Realty. These two bring many years experience in both sales and real estate. Clarine was born in the San Luis Valley and has lived in La Veta for 25 years. Jim brings a lifetime of experience in agriculture and farm & ranch sales.

I am excited to share with you one of the most beautiful and relaxing places on earth! My wife, Priscilla, and I moved to south central Colorado from Denver seeking refuge from the hectic and stressful pace of city life. We simply could not bear to sit in hour-long traffic jams any longer. It only took one visit to the Cucharas Valley to fall in love with it and make La Veta our home. Every day we enjoy panoramic mountain views, clean rivers and lakes, fresh air, sunshine (almost every day), abundant wildlife, plenty of open space to explore, recreation and a community of warm and friendly people.
